Ok, I was playing on tunngle and I know there are some "newbies" picking him because he has lots of "nuking" skills, so i've decided make this little tutorial to help that guys.

BEFORE READING YOU MUST KNOW, EACH GAME HAVE ITS OWN BUILD, YOU WILL NOT DO MAGIC-DEFENCE ITEMS AGAINST MELEE PHYSICAL HEROES, AND YOU CAN'T DO DEFENCE OR EVASION AGAINST MAGICAL ENEMIES

Lets begin!

Pyromancer

Skills

1 - Phoenix Wave

Deals {100,170,230,280} Magic damage to each target in a line.

2 - Dragonfire

Deals {90,150,210,280} Magic damage and stuns each target in the radius for 1.6 seconds

3 - Fervor

On any spell damage or attack damage done, applies Burning! to the target for 3 seconds.

4 - Blazing Strike

Deals {450,675,950} Magic damage to target. (Can be boosted by Staff of the Master)

First configure your Inventory Keys, go to game Options, and search the Hotkey configuration

1 Inventory item: ALT + Q
2 Inventory item: ALT + W
3 Inventory Item: ALT + E
4 Inventory item: ALT + A
5 Inventory item: ALT + S
6 Inventory item: ALT + D

Initial build

Initial buildare the items you buy to start the game with your initial gold.

Now, the best items are regenerating items or potions.

If you're playing

5v5

603 gold

1 - Marchers - 500g (Red Boots)
1 - Health Potion - 100g

or

1 - Bottle - 600g

or

3 - Health Potion - 300g
3 - Mana Potions - 150g
1 - Minor Totem - 53g

4v4

756 gold

1 - Marchers - 500g (Red Boots)
1 - Health Potion - 100g
3 - Mana Potion - 150g

or

1 - Bottle - 600g
1 - Health Potion - 100g
1 - Mana Potion - 50g

3v3, 2v2 or 1v1

You can customize your own build, but you must buy some potions, pyromancer's starting life is around 500 and his magical/physical defence is very low.

Why those items?

- There are two main ways to begin your game with pyromancer, If u're using the first starting build you should always try to attack your enemy, with the marchers phyro movement speed will be increased to 345 and most don't use to start with marchers/boots.

The focus on the second build is to throw magic away, dealing a nice amount of damage, and forcing your opponent to return to fountain to regen, making him lose experience and money, so it's better to wait until you can use rank 2 spells, when that happens, just start "mass casting", also, you should pay attention to runes almost always, so you can bottle them to use it another time, when the rune is in your bottle, it will activate on your first use, then your bottle will be usable for regeneration again..

Final Build

Boots:

POST HASTE
or GHOST MARCHERS

If you want more Strenght on you character to raise its Health points or Health regeneration you should do a Strenght Steamboots

STEAMBOOTS

Essential items:

STAFF OF THE MASTER

NOME'S WISDOM

------------------------------------

Now you can choose your 3 remaining items

I got some experience on HoN, so my three other items are always:

PORTAL KEY

Why?
- You can teleport to nearest your enemy, so you must use the stun quickly, first and ultimate skill, attack him to death, every time pyro casts a spell, his attackspeed increases, and also his cast speed, and your passive burning skill does stack with itself, so, you can try to kill your enemy by burning him.

STORM SPIRIT

Why?
- Storm spirit increases movement speed by 25 points, so you move faster and while you're flying your PORTAL KEY will recharge, so after you use STORM SPIRIT on you, you'll be able to blink out and not die.

HACK AND SLASH / FROSTBURN

Why?
- After blink, stun, phoenix, ultimate, the only way to kill your opponent is attacking, If you have an POSTHASTE, STORMSPIRIT and HACK AND SLASH / FROSTBURN your movement speed goes around 473 and your attack level 18 with NOME'S WISDOM and STAFF OF THE MASTER goes around 120 - 140, than after your combo you just attack your opponent, this item will help slowing him down and he will burn without escape.

------------------------------------

Other good items:

PUSH STAFF / TABLET OF COMMAND

If you're fightning against stunning heroes or CHRONOS, you can use this item to remove your friend from his ultimate, this item pushes a hero to the place hes looking, this item is good to escape and its cooldown is relatively low, also gives some stats.

BEHEMOTH'S HEART

It will not help you in killing, but in survivability, it gives a really nice amount of hitpoints and regeneration. You will know you need it when ur always at low HP after a fight.

FROSTFIELD PLATE

If you're taking lots of physical damage, and do not have much mana, this is a solution, this item skill will help you to slow even more your opponents and will also help with jungle.

HARKON'S BLADE

It's a good item that will give you lots of damage and some attributes too, but if the enemy has some magical defense, it won't help at all.

FROSTWOLF SKULL

This item has the same function as FROSTBURN/HACK AND SLASH, slow the target and keep attacking him, it will give you more strenght which means more hp, also more intelligence and agility, which means mana, attack and defense. You will lose the movement speed bonus from Hack and Slash/Frostburn, and also some attack speed, but you will be able to slow for 30% instead of 15% from H&L/FROSTBURN.

HELLFLOWER

Increases damage and mana regeneration.

SYMBOL OF RAGE

If you are winning the game, or losing your base and don't have the time to go to the fountain to regen as always, this will help you alot. This item increases your Strenght/Regeneration and gives you lifestealing hability.

***NOTE***

Keep in mind you can only have ONE orb effect at a time, so it WILL NOT stack with FROSTWOLF/FROSTBURN.

***NOTE 2***

This item's hability will make you drain life EVEN WITH FROSTBURN orb effect selected

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Point build

Level 01: 2 Skill
Level 02: 1 Skill
Level 03: 2 Skill
Level 04: 1 Skill
Level 05: 2 Skill
Level 06: 4 Skill
Level 07: 2 Skill (Level Max)
Level 08: 1 Skill
Level 09: 1 Skill (Level Max)
Level 10: 3 Skill
Level 11: 4 Skill
Level 12: 3 Skill
Level 13: 3 Skill
Level 14: 3 Skill (Level Max)
Level 15: Atribute Bonus
Level 16: 4 Skill (Level Max)
Level 17 to 25: Atribute Bonus

Remember: Do not try to hold 4000 gold if your level is 17 or lower, or if you aren't sure that you will be alive after a rush.

Also remember that: Only items will not make you invulnerable, you must know your limits, you need always to kill and not be killed, don't try kill stealing, every time you steal you will make one of your teammates angry, and he will not play properly. Also, you are stealing his gold, which will be probably necessary to him later.

Well i can see why u would buy frostburn it will get quite annoying when a hero survives ur nukes and u almost get the kill, but IMO it shldnt be bought in a 5vs5 game because u shld rely on ur team to do the dps not u u shld get a disable.
In 1vs1 game defintly get it it works wonders.

yeah yeah, frostburn in 5vs5 = suicide xD

but if your enemies just can kill you attacking

(legionarie, pestilence, kraken...)

the passive ms of frostburn or stormspirit will help lots :P
